its own right.
In the days after Real Madrid’s dramatic Champions League triumph, the Modric pass took on a life of its own.
It was hard not
to feel sorry for the man who actually made it a brilliant ball. If that man
had not expertly volleyed the pass beyond Edouard Mendy, the Modric pass
would have been an irrelevance.
