‘Please don’t glorify Moat’

THE mother of a man killed by crazed gunman Raoul Moat has begged TV bosses not to “glorify” him.

ITV is filming a drama about Moat, 37, who wounded his ex-lover and killed her new man Chris Brown, 29, in Birtley, Gateshead, in 2010.

Chris’s mother, Sally, 71, said: “We were contacted a year ago but haven’t heard anything since. I just hope they don’t glorify Moat.”

Matt Stokoe, who appeared in Misfits and Jamestown, will play Moat.
