Boozy green fans who lose their bottle
ONE in 10 Brits don’t always recycle wine and beer bottles because they don’t want neighbours to see how much they drink.
And 57% lie about their general recycling to impress friends and family, a poll has discovered.
A quarter who claim to be avid recyclers often sling out recyclable containers in the normal bin because they can’t be bothered to clean them.
One in 10 said they ride a bike more than they actually do and claim they never drink water from plastic bottles, despite regularly buying them.
The survey by Milk and More, an online grocery and milk delivery service, also found a quarter pretend they’ve recycled old clothes after putting them out for the bin men.
