PO victims in compo wait
MANY postmasters caught in the Post Office IT scandal are still awaiting payouts a year after the first convictions were overturned.
More than 2,400 had to pay for shortfalls shown on a faulty computer system.
Lawyer Neil Hudgell, leading compensation talks, said: “Some have died or lost capacity.”
The Court of Appeal has previously heard how many postmasters were wrongly prosecuted by the Post Office. So far 73 convictions have been quashed.
