FROM BACK PAGE to dry by a dressing room he’s privately branded “selfish, over-inflated, lacking quality and too powerful”.

The German has been stunned by the lack of professionalism among the first-team squad.

After yesterday’s 3-1 defeat, Scott McTominay (right) said: “There’s a whole load of problems in terms of players, staff, everything higher up. We need to concentrate on what happens on the pitch. We don’t need to worry about who is saying what, it is about pride.

“There are a lot of things going on, don’t get me wrong.

“For us, when we get back in the dressing room, it’s go home and take a look at yourself in the mirror. You can’t be satisfied with conceding three goals at Arsenal when we deserved to win.

“The last four games are about pride for us and showing a bit of balls with your performances.

“When the new coach comes in, we must be ready for everything, so dialled-in and concentrated on our jobs that we impress him.

“It comes down to the basics and we’ve not done them well enough of late.”

Rangnick slammed ref Craig Pawson and VAR Jarred Gillett after yesterday.

He said: “You look at the table and Tottenham and Arsenal, and it’s not very realistic to dream and speak about the top four.

“We were unlucky with the VAR decisions – three or four were more than questionable.”
