Don’t Bank on Hol lot of hot weather

- BY KAREN ROCKETT

IT won’t be a Bank Holiday scorcher but much of the UK should see some sun today and tomorrow.

While barbecues and beer gardens are on the agenda for some over the May Day break, you might need a brolly in the north.

The Met Office said: “Much of the south is likely to see dry and sunny spells while parts of the north are likely to experience cloudier conditions”.

People hit the beach in Brighton yesterday, when temperatures hit 18C in the south. But they are set to drop, with highs of 14C today and 17C tomorrow.

Motorists are warned to expect traffic chaos tomorrow, when almost 17 million leisure trips are planned. But a poll found 14% are shunning road trips because of fuel prices.
