Godfather of footie agents is dead at 54
FOOTBALL super-agent Mino Raiola – known as the “godfather of transfers” – has died aged 54.
The Italian represented stars like Man United’s Paul Pogba and Roma’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan and had a fortune of £62million.
Yesterday his family tweeted: “In infinite sorrow we share the passing of the most caring and amazing football agent ever.
“Mino fought until the end with the same strength he put on negotiation tables to defend players.”
The announcement came two days after Raiola reacted angrily to premature reports of his death.
On Thursday the former pizza chef tweeted: “P **** d off second time in 4 months they kill me.”
He was understood to be ill after surgery in January.
