Dying cancer victim’s bone marrow plea
A WOMAN dying from a rare form of cancer is urging ethnic minority people to donate bone marrow to help save her and others.
Yvette Chin, 41, has just months to live after being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
Chemotherapy has been unsuccessful and her only chance of survival is now a stem-cell transplant.
But her Chinese and Jamaican heritage means matches are hard to find.
Appealing for people of east Asian backgrounds to come forward, Ms Chin, from Liverpool, said: “This is the only option for me.
“If it is not for me, it could be for someone else.
“Please consider doing this – you could save someone’s life.”
