New Toon Dum deal
TOM HOPKINSON PAUL DUMMETT is set to follow Fabian
Schar’s lead by signing a contract extension at Newcastle.
Schar put pen to paper on a new two-year deal on
Friday to end speculation that he might leave St James’ Park on a free transfer.
And now Dummett, whose agreement is up in June, is hoping to get a new deal over the line with boss Eddie Howe keen to keep the left-back.
Dummett, 30, has suffered with injuries this season, but there is belief at the club he still has plenty to offer.
