Kidsenjoying our tradition

-

This week, Muslims around the world celebrated the festival of Eid ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

And this year was so very special because people could actually get together, unlike during the pandemic.

Eid has a very special place in my heart as it brings back happy memories of my childhood – of new clothes, lots of food, meeting up with family and friends and, of course, presents.

I want to pass on this tradition to my own kids, so every year I dress them up in Pakistani clothes and we visit my family in the Midlands.

Both my daughter Amara and son Zac really looked the part as they greeted everyone with “Eid Mubarak”.
