Harrogate 0 Sutton 2

MATT GRAY was full of pride for Sutton’s season, despite a narrow play-off miss.

A victory at Harrogate, courtesy of goals from Craig Eastmond and Isaac Olaofe, saw Sutton end the season a point off the top seven.

Manager Gray said: “It’s been a great season. If you’d have offered me 50 points at the start I would have snapped your hand off.

“We’ve established

ourselves as a Football League club now.

“To be in a Wembley final and miss out narrowly, to get 76 points on the board and just miss out on the play-offs on the last day of the season is a remarkable achievement.”

Harrogate boss Simon Weaver said: “When you don’t take your chances, you leave yourself open to losing an end-to-end contest like this. We did enough to score goals today.”
