Stevenage 4 Salford

-

GARY BOWYER admitted the Salford fans put a smile on his face, despite defeat in the last game this campaign.

Liam Shephard and Corrie Ndaba were on target for the Ammies.

Jamie Reid replied with a brace for the hosts with one apiece for Luke Norris and Elliott List.

Bowyer said: “The supporters were magnificent from start to finish with their fancy dress, the effort they

made, it puts a smile on your face that, but we are obviously disappointed with the outcome of the game.”

Stevenage coach Paul Raynor said: “We made a point yesterday of telling the team how important this game was.

“I think we ran out worthy winners even if it was end to end at times.

“We wanted to finish the season with the job done, but we felt as if we dropped off the pace these past few games.”
