I’ll be damed! Deb appeal hits £6m
DAME Deborah James thanked those who helped her cancer fundraising appeal hit £6million yesterday as she revealed she’s “getting weaker” and “running off pure adrenaline”.
It comes after the mum-of-two, who hosts the BBC’s You, Me and The Big C podcast, received a damehood from Prince William on Friday.
Dame Deborah, 40, who is having end-of-life care at home, said: “I may have had the most surreal, mindblowing, humbling five days of my life.
“I cannot thank you for your generosity at launching the Bowelbabe Fund.”
And she thanked Prince William for “going above and beyond to make a very special memory happen”.
