Hollywood: ‘I regret being on Bake Off’
PAUL Hollywood says he would never have done Bake Off if he’d known how “brutal” the spotlight on his private life would be.
The BBC show made the 56-year-old a household name for his tough judging and baking expertise.
But after an affair with his co-judge on the American version and the end of his 20-year-marriage, his love life took centre stage.
A relationship with barmaid Summer Monteys Fullam then ended when she dumped him.
Paul, who moonlights as a pizza chef at girlfriend Melissa Spalding’s pub in Kent, told Weekend Magazine: “Fame is brutal.
“Would I have done Bake Off if I’d known all this stuff was going to happen, the loss of my private life? No, I wouldn’t.”
