Creative pub landlords go crazy for golf

-

BOOZERS are trying to win back punters postpandemic… with crazy golf.

Beer gardens are being transformed into mini golf courses to attract families looking for cheap entertainment.

Landlord Kane Oliver, who set up an animalthemed course at the Lion by Olivers pub in Brinsley, Notts, said: “The feedback has been amazing.”

Another firm, Boom Battle Bar, has opened “crazier” golf courses at its pubs in Coventry, Bath, Norwich and Liverpool in a bid to boost business.

The Campaign for Real Ale said: “Pubs are focused on coaxing people out of their homes. It’s no surprise mini golf could be the next big attraction.”
