Brown’s Pot shot

- BY NEIL GOULDING

JACOB BROWN has been Stoke City’s shining light – but the ambitious striker has called for the Potters to be more ruthless in their quest for a Premier League return.

Michael O’Neill’s side toyed with the play-offs this term but ultimately fell short after a miserable nine-game winless run cost them dear.

“Frustration is definitely the word to describe our season,” said Brown, who scored 14 goals.

“We’ve got a team capable of being in that top six and pushing for promotion. However, it’s about getting points when you’re in winning positions.

“We can beat every team in the league if we perform to our best.”
