Reds deal for Vieira
LIVERPOOL have struck an agreement with Luis Diaz’s old club Porto that will give them first refusal on starlet Fabio Vieira.
The attacking midfielder, 21, also being eyed by Arsenal, is considered one of the best young players in Portugal.
He has scored seven goals and registered 15 assists this season.
Vieira, who captains Portugal’s Under-21 team, still has another three seasons to run on his contract with the Primeira Liga club.
However, his deal contains a £12.7million release clause — plus buying clubs would need to agree to performancerelated add-ons as well — with Porto open to letting him go when the time is right.
Diaz has made a stunning and immediate impact at Anfield since joining the club for £37m in January and that deal has paved the way for an agreement over Vieira.
