Lage: No bust-up

- By NEIL MOXLEY

BRUNO LAGE has scotched talk of a training-ground bust-up between him and two Molineux stars.

The Wolves boss responded after rumours started that he had faceddown striker Raul Jimenez and wing-back Jonny.

Lage (right) said: “The only thing I can say is that me and the boys have been laughing about it. I don’t have any problems with anyone.

“There weren’t any problems with the first two-thirds of the season – but when you lose, rumours and problems happen. If you look for rumours about Manchester City, you won’t find any. If you look for rumours about Manchester United, you’ll find one every day.

“I don’t have any problems here. I’ve said good things about these players ever since day one.

“If we have a problem, we talk face-to-face and we finish everything there and then. I can promise you nothing happened.”

DEAN SMITH is confident that the Norwich boo boys won’t turn on his players as he starts planning for a rebuild.

The relegated Canaries head to Wolves today, but boss Smith already has one eye on next season in the second tier.

He said: “With any team that gets relegated, there is going to be anger around. But we saw a better version of our fans on Wednesday against Leicester because they saw a better version of the players.

“Performances keep supporters happy – and they saw a team that was trying.”
