‘I’ve reined in my Robins’

-

BEN GARNER has been forced to keep his Swindon players in check before finally letting them off their leash in today’s play-off with Port Vale.

The Robins boss (above) says burnout is no issue, despite a gruelling season that went down to the wire, in their bid for automatic promotion.

After extending their season in the play-offs, Garner said: “It’s almost been a case of reining them in a little bit this week. They’re chomping at the bit, they’re ready to go.

“The energy levels are really high. We will outrun anyone. We will outrun and outwork any team. We won’t fall short on that front.

“Emotionally, they seem in a really good place. I’m really pleased with how the week’s preparation has gone and we’re all looking forward to the game.

“We’re all excited and can’t wait to get going.”
