Nad in league with the union
Nadine Dorries spoke at a Rugby League World Cup event, saying she’s always loved rugby league, since she saw Jonny Wilkinson win the World Cup for England.
It’s a sweet story, except that was rugby union, the other rugby game that’s often in fierce competition. And she’s a minister for sport.
In her next speech she’ll say: “I have always loved snooker, since I saw Nigel Mansell drive the blue ball into the pocket at Aintree on an ice skate.
“And I REALLY love swimming, since Bradley Wiggins knocked out Tyson Fury and Colonel Mustard in the ballroom with the
lead piping.”
