2 in hospital after fight at Silverstone

TWO men were taken to hospital and four were arrested after a mass brawl at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix today.

Witnesses reported seeing bloodied victims and “some with ear bites”.

The fight broke out near the Ferris wheel at the Northamptonshire venue at 6pm on Friday.

The arrested men were aged 40, 35, 35 and 30.

Police are appealing for witnesses and officers are keen to receive any phone footage of the altercation.

Some 106,000 fans were at the circuit on Friday to see the likes of Sir Lewis Hamilton qualifying for today’s F1 race.
