Victory for shed creche mum Holly
A CHILDMINDER is celebrating after winning her planning battle to use a garden cabin as her creche.
Holly Fitzsimons, 27, has looked after youngsters in the wooden outbuilding at her mother’s home for more than three years.
But she risked losing her workplace in Ingleby Barwick, Teeside, after Stockton Council said she needed permission to use it for business, then turned down her application.
The council launched enforcement action, but Holly spent thousands fighting the decision – and has now won her appeal.
Mum-of-one Holly said she is “over the moon” adding: “I wasn’t going down without a fight.”
Stockton Council said it was “disappointed”.
