Heather’s in bloom

TOM HOPKINSON HEATHER WATSON has loved watching the success of Emma Raducanu and the rest of the Brit pack this past year.

But after reaching her first Grand Slam fourth round here — she will meet Germany’s Jule Niemeier today — the 30-year-old is keen to remind the rest of the gang that she can still be a pacesetter, too.

Watson (below) said: “I’ve always had faith that I’d reach the second week at Wimbledon. I knew my time would come and it’s here.

“It feels really good, especially because I saw everybody doing so well this season.”
