Henderson picks ‘delighted’ Forest for season on loan

DEAN HENDERSON’S loan deal to Nottingham Forest has been signed – with boss Steve Cooper revealing the keeper rejected other Premier League suitors to play for the newly promoted club.

Manchester United’s Henderson (above) agreed to join Forest for the season and immediately flew out to join his new team-mates at their Spanish training camp.

Henderson has been part of the set-up at Old Trafford since he was 14, but has found David de Gea difficult to dislodge.

He has already spent two campaigns on loan at Sheffield United and has one senior England cap.

Cooper said: “Dean is hungry to play and prove himself at the highest level. He’s attracted a lot of interest from other clubs and we’re delighted he has chosen us.”
