Gakpo on Foxes’ list

LEICESTER boss Brendan Rodgers has joined the race for PSV Eindhoven and Holland star Cody Gakpo.

The Dutchman, 23, is so far holding out for a move to a top-six club, but has become one of the most sought-after players this summer, with Leeds also trying to sign him as a replacement for Raphinha.

Like Leicester, Leeds cannot offer him European football. Arsenal and Tottenham have also been linked with the exciting winger, who scored 21 goals for PSV last season and bagged 15 assists.

Rodgers hopes the lure of greater opportunities for Gakpo than he might get elsewhere could yet be the bait needed to land him for the Foxes.
