Verstappen hits boos

MAX VERSTAPPEN was BOOED by the crowd after a wet and wild qualifying session at Silverstone.

The Dutchman (left) looked taken aback at the jeers after he put himself in second position on the grid for today’s British GP.

“It was a bit disappointing because it’s always great to be here,” said Verstappen.

Lewis Hamilton, who had to settle for fifth place, said: “I think we are better than that. We don’t need to do booing.”
