Drench warfare
PROTESTERS stormed Sri Lanka President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s home yesterday – and leapt into his pool.
Thousands got past barricades, blaming Rajapaksa and PM Ranil Wickremesinghe for a crippling economic crisis.
The president had been moved to safety – while Wickremesinghe’s home was torched. He has agreed to stand down.
Police fired tear gas in the capital Colombo and the clashes left at least 21 people in hospital.
