THE tee shot is scary, across the old railway sheds, and if you hit the rough on the left, it’s thick, so tough getting to the green.

You have to challenge those sheds, which brings out-ofbounds into play. Handy if you fancy popping into the Jigger for a pint, but not if you want to win the Open.

The shot into the green is brutal. Back in the day, guys did not hit the green in two, they ran a pitch up the slope and used the camber. But when you’re coming in from 200 yards, it ain’t easy.

Your whole Open can hang in the balance on this one hole.
