Lach: It’s Hull of a big derby

MAGIC WEEKEND closes with a bang – and both new-look Hull teams will be gunning for a badly needed win.
Former Leeds legend Danny McGuire takes over at Rovers, who sacked coach Tony Smith on Monday after seven defeats in eight.
Maguire has brought in his former Rhinos team-mate Brett Delaney to work on their leaky defence and hands a debut to winger Louis Senior, on loan from Huddersfield.
Rovers full-back Lachlan Coote warned: “It’s another Hull derby – and we’ve got to win it. We’ve got a lot to play for.
“We need those two points. Both teams are
not in the best form, but, hopefully, this can kick-start the back end of our season to get into the top six.
“Hull are in the same boat. They want to push on and that will create a good spectacle for the fans.”
Hull have lost four on the bounce, including an embarrassing 62-16 defeat at home by
Leeds last time out, and have a host of injury and suspension problems today.
But they have brought in loan players Jack Walker, Josh Simm and Ellis Longstaff and have captain Luke Gale back from suspension.
