Powell: It’s not all me

By JULIE STOTT UNDER-PRESSURE boss Daryl Powell insists the problems wrecking Warrington’s season are not all down to him.

The Wolves chief has had a nightmare debut campaign and his side are now on a run of six defeats in seven games.

One of the worst was last weekend’s 32-24 home defeat by Salford, after being 24-8 up with 20 minutes to go.

Fans are restless, but Powell believes the players are simply weak under pressure in games and said: “That’s something we’ve got to eradicate.

“That’s been there for a while, not just this year. It’s not a great trait in a team.”

Wolves’ Matty Ashton and George Williams return to the squad for today’s game, but Mike Cooper is ill and Kyle Amor is injured.

Catalans have eight regulars missing, including Micky McIlorum, Dylan Napa and Sam Kasiano – all suspended following the win over leaders St Helens.
