‘Victims to get £20k payouts’

VICTIMS of the Telford child abuse scandal could be entitled to a share of £20million in compensation, according to a leading solicitor.

David Greenwood, from Switalskis

Solicitors, has specialised in child abuse compensation claims for over 20 years.

He believes that the 1,000 youngsters identified as victims of the Telford gangs are in line for £20,000 each from West Mercia Police.

Mr Greenwood said: “Apologies are really important for the women affected by this. It needs to be sincere, personalised and in writing to each one of them.”
