Computers are a bloody infuriating nuisance.

The contraptions of 100 years ago may have been slow and cumbersome but they were usually reliable.

I don’t suppose anyone using a mangle ever said: “I haven’t been able to use it for the last 20 minutes as it’s reconfiguring.

“It’s 40 per cent through downloading some important updates, so all your shirts are still soaking wet I’m afraid.”
