Witch is the real fortune teller online?

- BY JACK CLOVER

ONLINE fortune-tellers are getting upset over a scam they never saw coming – fake fortune-tellers stealing their business.

Pagan witch Alexa Thompson blames “bloodsucking leeches” for using fake accounts in her name to trick people.

With readings costing up to £130, she claims Instagram is doing nothing to tackle the problem.

Alexa, 31, has almost 60,000 followers on her Barefoot Witch page – and says three or four fake accounts use her name at any one time.

She said: “We deserve to be taken seriously whether you believe in witchcraft or not – and Instagram doesn’t take it seriously.

“If it was a celebrity or a politician they would act.”

She said: “Lots of people think we’re frauds anyway – these real crooks make it much worse.” Instagram was asked to comment.
