Gaming boosts kids’ intelligence
Playing video games could increase your child’s IQ, according to a new Swedish study.
Researchers studied what effects playing video games, watching television and using social media had on intelligence in children aged between nine and 10. While TV and social media use had neither a positive or negative effect on intelligence, those who played video games more than their peers saw their IQ increase by 2.5 points over two years, the study by the Karonlinska Institutet in Sweden and Vrije University Amsterdam found.
