RIVALS VIE TO TEMPT TONEY

-

TOM HOPKISNON BRENTFORD’S Ivan Toney is attracting serious interest from several Premier League clubs with Newcastle, West Ham and Leeds all keen.

Those three clubs are all on the lookout for a goalscorer and Toney, who struck 12 goals and chipped in with 12 assists last season, fits the bill. Manchester United are also understood to be keeping tabs on the 26-year-old’s situation.

But United’s initial interest will also depend on what happens this summer with Cristiano Ronaldo and Anthony Martial, who went out on loan to Sevilla last season.
