Blues boss Tuchel has the needle
THOMAS TUCHEL has admitted Chelsea will be reluctant to sign players who have refused to take a Covid vaccine.
The Blues boss was forced to head out to their US tour without N’Golo Kante and Ruben LoftusCheek with the midfielders yet to take the vaccine – and so unable to travel.
Instead, the pair were left at home and have to train and play with the club’s Under-23s in a bid to get up to speed ahead of the new Premier
League season.
And Tuchel says any new recruits’ vaccination status will play a big part in his thinking as he overhauls his squad.
Tuchel admitted: “It is a part of daily life at the moment.”
Pressed on whether a player’s decision over taking the vaccine has come into his thinking, he added: “Yes, it has to.”
