US explores new jetfighter option

AMERICA is promising more military support for Ukraine, including drones, and possibly some aircraft too.

As Russian forces relentlessly shell towns and cities in the east with the war about to enter its sixth month, Kyiv is hoping its gradually increasing supply of western arms will allow it to recapture territory.

The US is exploring whether it can send fighter jets to Ukraine, a White House spokesman said on Friday.
