Dad ‘forgot’ tot who died in his hot car

A BABY was found dead after it was left in a sweltering car all day.

It is thought the 14-month-old’s dad forgot to drop the child off at nursery before work.

The infant was found dead in a car park at the aeronautics firm where he worked in Safran in Bordes, south-west France, on Wednesday afternoon.

The mother raised the alarm after realising her child had not attended nursery later that day.

An investigation has been launched. Public prosecutor Cecile Gensac said: “Initial investigations suggest that the young child died of suffocation and dehydration.”
