Speaking up for the youth

MENTAL health and wellbeing was top of the agenda during three days of debate at the UK Youth Parliament this weekend.

Young people aged from 11 to 18 were in Hull for the parliament’s annual conference, which started on Friday, to represent their UK constituencies.

MPs for the parliament are elected every two years and seek to pass views on to Westminster MPs.

Past guests at the event include ex-Commons speaker John Bercow.
