Growing up is no joke

Does anyone ever feel like an adult? I keep waiting, but it’s looking more unlikely.

Weather forecasts always bring out the worst in me. As soon as the forecaster says it’s thundery around the Cardiff region, or there are worrying flash floods in the Cockfosters area, I can’t help but nudge the person sitting next to me – which is awkward on a train full of strangers.

It’s like “cross-party talks”. Does anyone else just imagine petulant MPs sulking in the corner?

The Crossing Continents programme on Radio 4 is my favourite though. I mean if you had leakage issues, you’d be cross too.
