Our show is too dirty to let our own kids watch
COMIC couple Chris and Rosie Ramsey love a chuckle – but their kids can’t watch them on TV because they’re too near the knuckle.
The couple have two sons – Robin, six, and Rafe, 19 months. But their BBC Two chat show is sprinkled with innuendo and the odd choice word – or two.
And that’s not for such young ears. Chris says: “Oh no, there’s too many dirty stuff for the kids.”
But the kids DO know the theme tune.
Rosie, 35, adds: “Our son who is six sings ‘the Robin and Rafe Ramsey Show’, so he has stolen the theme tune, which is very cute.”
The Chris and Rosie Ramsey Show sees them quiz a star couple and delve into their history, likes and dislikes. It is back for another six-part run next year. And their podcast Shagged Married Annoyed recently won a prized Television and Radio Industries Club award.
But despite their success neither will leave their native Tyneside for London because they don’t want their children to lose their Geordie accents.
Chris, also 35, says: “We’d have to do what Cillian Murphy did with his children when they were getting a London accent and boot them all back up pretty quickly.

Rosie adds: “All our family and friends, admits to being “very nervous” at first. our whole unit, is in the north.” He adds: “There’s so many big hitters
Their chat show features segments who dominate, quite rightly, the chat such as It Goes or I Go – and Rosie show landscape and I feel maybe we hit reveals their own key to happiness. on a really nice angle of getting couples

The couple have hosted BBC1’s The One Show, but found it a tough gig.
Chris says: “After the show we had to run into a room on me own and fire out a load of jokes. It was like releasing a pressure valve just having to be serious. You’ve got to hold it all back, you’ve got to be respectful.”
