Meet new Eubank on the block
HARLEM EUBANK is planning to make a statement in Newcastle on Saturday that will set him up for a shot at the British title.
The 28-year-old cousin of Chris Eubank Jr was due to meet Tom Farrell, but will now take on Mexico’s Eliot Chavez, after the Liverpudlian was ruled out with Covid.
And Eubank (above) wants this fight to set him up for a shot at a belt which means so much to his family.
He said: “The British title would mean a lot to me. My uncle, Chris Senior, always placed a lot of prestige on the Lonsdale belt.
“I was ringside to see my cousin Chris lift the British title – and I am ready now to do the same.
“I’m targeting the top names – and those fights are coming soon. I am confident I beat anyone at British domestic level, so whoever holds the British title, I am coming for it.”
Eubank’s 14 wins as a pro include six KOs, although he is adamant he does not care how his victories come.
He added: “I always look to box and if the knockout comes, it comes.”
