THE mum of murdered schoolgirl Lilia Valutyte says her family has been offered help – by the mother of the man charged with stabbing her little girl.

And Lina Savicke, 35, has relived the horrifying moment she saw nineyear-old Lilia dying in the street.

Grief-stricken Lina said she had been contacted by murder suspect Deividas Skebas’ mother, Daiva.

She said: “His mother called... I heard he comes from a very good family. She promised to take care of everything that she is able to.”

The Lithuanian mums spoke after fruit picker Skebas, 22, appeared in court on Monday charged with killing

Lilia in Boston, Lincs, on July 28.

Lina was at work in a recruitment office just yards from where Lilia was stabbed while playing outside with her five-year-old sister.

She said: “Everything happened right near – maybe ten steps from me. On that fateful day I was giving a gift to my friend when the children were playing outside my windows.

“As I ran around the corner, I heard someone calling me, ‘Mom!’.

“I go out and see how my little girl was standing a metre away from the big one. And she just bled to death.”

Lilia’s family are raising money for a sculpture to place close to the murder scene.

Lina revealed the plan to collect donations to Daiva, who is thought to own a florist’s in Lithuania.

“But she stated she did not have the money,” Lina told the Delfi Plus news outlet.

An inquest this week heard Lilia died from a single stab wound and was identified by her stepdad, Aurelijus Savickas.

Skebas was remanded in custody at Lincoln Crown Court. A plea hearing is set for September 19.
