Fleetwood 0 Barnsley 1

-

MICHAEL DUFF admitted a last-gasp winner was “the cherry on the top” of a solid display from Barnsley.

Jack Aitchison glanced in the only goal of the game in stoppage time, shortly after coming off the bench.

Duff admitted he would have been happy to take a point home as the clock ticked down, and added:

“The players kept pushing and that’s what we wanted.

“I thought there was some really good football played, we kept a clean sheet and got an away win at a tough place.”

Fleetwood boss Scott Brown said: “Losing to a lastminute goal is always hard.

“I think the referee got a few decisions wrong.

“They always work hard, but I think in the final third we got a bit coy, we got a couple of chances but didn’t manage to hit the net.”
