Three dead girls... but cops fear he took many more lives

Angelika Kluk, 23: A Polish student living at St Patrick’s church Glasgow, she knew Tobin as Pat McLaughlin, a handyman at the church.

Last seen on September 24, 2006, she was found raped and murdered five days later, bludgeoned repeatedly about the head, gagged and tied up and then stabbed 16 times in the chest.

Her body was dumped beneath the floor of the chapel in an undergroun­d chamber next to the confession box – probably while she was still alive. Vicky Hamilton, 15: Teenager was last seen in Bathgate on a snowy February in 1991 while making her way home to Redding, near Falkirk.

Drugged and sexually assaulted, she was mutilated and her body parts were found buried in 2007 in the garden of a house in Margate, Kent, where Tobin used to live.

Dinah McNicol, 18: Disappeare­d in 1991 while hitch-hiking home from a music festival in Liphook, Hampshire. Her decomposed body was eventually found in 2007 in two bin bags in the back garden of the house in Margate, Kent, a few feet away from the body of Vicky Hamilton.

Suspected victims include:

Louise Kay, 18: At the time of Louise’s disappeara­nce in 1988, Tobin was living in Brighton but working as a hotel handyman a mile or so from where Louise went missing.

Jessie Earl, 22: The art student’s skeletal remains were found near Beachy Head in 1989, nine years after she disappeare­d.

Pamela Exall, 22: She vanished after a stroll along the beach on the evening of August 27, 1974, at Digleas Campsite near Snettisham, Norfolk. Susan Long, 18: The Norwich Union clerk was last seen on March 10, 1970, after going to a dance with her boyfriend. After catching a bus home to Aylsham and getting off at her stop her body was found by a milkman sexually assaulted and strangled.

Bible John deaths:

Tobin has been linked to the serial killer nicknamed Bible John who is believed to have murdered three young women – Patricia Docker, 25, Jemima McDonald, 32, and Helen Puttock, 29 – after meeting them at the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow, between 1968 and 1969.
