How Gigi got her bounce back

Many of us with joint issues dread the discomfort that can come with the autumn cold.

Dogs can suffer the same problem – but as they can’t say anything, they depend on us working it out. Sheila Peddieson from Northumberland first spotted that Gigi, her 8-year-old Working Cocker Spaniel, had a problem one autumn morning.

‘The bed is quite high, and I noticed that she started to limp quite badly after she jumped down,’ says Sheila. But an X-ray showed nothing wrong.

‘Then she stopped me from taking her on walks. We’d get one street away and she’d put the brakes on, as if to say, ‘I want to go home.’

That was Gigi’s story for the next few months, until Sheila saw an ad for CurcuPet-K9, an advanced curcumin supplement developed especially for dogs. The transformation was remarkable. ‘She got her old spark back,’ says Sheila.

‘She stopped limping within about a week, and she wanted to go back on her walks, going the full distance. She just seemed to have a renewed lease of life.’

Sheila has given her CurcuPet-K9 ever since, every morning and evening. ‘She’s still jumping up and down off the bed, but she’s no longer limping at all.’

‘There’s lots of country walks where we live, and she’s raring to go. Life is good and she’s a happy little pup. ‘I’ve recommended CurcuPet-K9 to friends who have older dogs with problems. All I can say is: try it. For us, it’s absolutely fantastic.’ CurcuPet-K9 was developed by FutureYou Cambridge, a leading UK supplement developer. It works in a similar way to their innovative bones and joints health supplement for people, Turmeric+.

The key active ingredient in turmeric is curcumin, but it’s difficult for our bodies – whether you’re human or canine – to absorb. To make it more ‘bioavailable’, the experts at FutureYou Cambridge use a patented combination of curcumin extract with soy lecithin that’s much more absorbable than standard turmeric powder.

‘Customers started telling us they were giving our turmeric supplement to their pets,’ says Adam Cleevely, CEO of FutureYou Cambridge. ‘The feedback was so positive we decided to create a special turmeric product for dogs.’

‘We’re thrilled to be helping thousands of older dogs stay happy and active.

We’d like to support more, which is why we’re making an introductory offer to help people discover CurcuPet-K9 for themselves.’
