Sunak backs ‘safe spaces’
RISHI Sunak is championing a campaign for shops, schools and GPs to become safe spaces for domestic abuse victims.
The PM met campaign group J9 to boost a bid to have community areas turned into centres for escaping abuse.
Mr Sunak said: “The inspirational J9 trainers should be proud of the difference they’re making.”
It can take up to 50 assaults for a survivor to first seek help, according to Tory MP Ruth Edwards.
