Q Your new album is called Takin’ It Back. What are you taking back?
A I have taken back my power with hard work and love. I am peaking in life and so happy. I have never felt more like me.

A I’ve just filmed a sitcom, but can’t say which. I’m desperate to watch it to see if I’m actually any good! It was the most fun I have ever had. I cried when I had to leave.
Q What’s the biggest misconception about you? A People don’t realise I write all my own songs. I actually started as a songwriter first.
Q Will you be touring the UK soon?
A I would love to, but I also want to get pregnant. I just need to decide which to do first. I should probably tour then have a baby.
Q What’s your proudest achievement?
A Seeing my baby son right after they got him out of me. Winning a Grammy was cool but I could have died during my C-section, so that was definitely cooler.
