Trick or treat ...it’s wicked!

I was really hoping that my kids, now 14 and 11, would have grown out of dressing up as blood-soaked ghouls to knock on doors for free sweets – but no chance!

They have been talking about their Halloween costumes and what they’re planning with their mates in the kind of detail I wish they would apply to their schoolwork.

But, secretly, I love that they still want to celebrate and have fun with their friends. They are making memories to treasure.

They will remember the neighbours who lit up their homes with pumpkins and gave them sweets. And those who didn’t! What kind of neighbour are you?
