Nothing too clever about this ‘genius’

Kanye West, the billionaire American rapper, songwriter, fashion designer and ex husband of Kim Kardashian, has had a “terribilis sabbati” (that’s a terrible week to you and me) – and quite honestly he deserves it.

Some call him a “genius”, but spouting anti-Semitic rhetoric is not funny, clever or smart as he found out when some of his major sponsors cut ties with him.

Adidas, Balenciaga and JP Morgan have condemned his awful remarks, and Madame Tussauds has even removed his waxwork from public view.

I believe in freedom of speech, but not in inciting hate and violence towards people because of their religion.

Let’s hope this reality check will knock some sense into this talented but troubled man.
